JEE preparation for 12th ongoing students

CAUTION : This post is intended only for those students who have done nothing in their 11th. Those who are studying from 11th should continue their way.. Don't even look at this post..
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(If you haven't read my post on the tools and techniques, please read it here, otherwise this one's going to be of no use.)
So again I'll categorize this post in 3 categories:
[i]   For those who have just reached class 12th..
[ii]  For those who have wasted half of their 12th..
[iii] For those who have only 2-3 months left of their 12th..

A COMMON WORD OF ADVICE FOR ALL THE ABOVE CATEGORY STUDENTS :

First of all - NEVER REGRET FOR WASTING YOUR 11th.. YOU CAN STILL MAKE IT WITH HARDWORK AND DEDICATION.. Regret never solves anything.. Hardwork do!
Don't ignore your boards.. !! That said, I literally mean it. You won't get a second chance.
Trust me, a person excelling in the boards is bound to do well in entrance exams as well (unless you rote learnt everything!). Whatever you do, don't leave out school basics! I beg you.. Please don't. And since your 11th syllabus is not done, you'll have to carry it out in parallel with the 12th syllabus.
The best way would be to prepare the current 12th topics seriously and cover the 11th ones smartly, not deeply.. Just get acknowledged with the basics and its applications, get a thorough knowledge in short time..

And meanwhile remember, boards are EQUALLY important.
Just literally kick away all the sources that waste even  a second of yours. Be it television, smartphone, good for nothing friends, computer, internet (obviously), bikes... ANYTHING.. Just live in exile for whatever time you've got!
NEVER THINK OF TAKING A DROP WHILE YOU'RE IN 12th. NEVER EVER!!
UTILIZE! Just that.. Whatever time you get, just make good use of it..

#1 : FOR THOSE WHO HAVE JUST REACHED CLASS 12th..

Lot to do.. JEE, boards, 11th... huff!! One year! You can do it.. REALLY! It's tough, but not at all impossible. You can cover 11th topics in depth only once you're all done with the 12th.. This year is like a drop year with a greater difficulty level so you have to give your all to survive. Dig up the basics of mechanics, general organic chemistry, algebra and all related topics on which you will be heavily dependent in your 12th. If you are currently enrolled in a coaching since 11th, leave it asap and join one year program for 12th in your or any good institute. (I did the same mistake of not switching coaching after 11th and eventually failed). But leave only if you are nil with the 11th.. Otherwise NOT.. They'll teach you in one year.
And keep up the self study..

#2 : FOR THOSE WHO HAVE WASTED HALF OF THEIR 12th..

For you'll guys, the condition is critical.. Again I would say, don't panic.. Just have faith in yourself (that's the best you can do right now). Quit doing every damn thing right away and LISTEN TO ME CAREFULLY (though I am writing!). Don't ever study too many things at the same time. You'll gain nothing. Understand the concepts of chapters briefly, practice some problems and move on.. Be quick. Try to cover as many chapters (one at a time, ok!) as you can with some practice and try doing 11th topics by taking out extra time. Don't indulge in them too much. Actually don't get too carried away with anything, whether your favourite or not, just keep moving FAST and WISELY. And don't go so fast that you ruin everything.. Just be wise and give your full effort.. Remember, your effort counts, not your resources..

#3 : FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ONLY 2-3 MONTHS LEFT OF 12th..

My friend, if you belong to this category, I am afraid but it's too late for you.. I am being honest.. I'll not give you false consolation and hopes. Not more than 10 in 10000+ qualified candidates are the ones who can achieve success in so less time.. I don't know if you are one out of those 10, but if you are then read carefully. Keep aside JEE.. Yeah! That's right.. JUST DO FULL JUSTICE TO BOARDS.. And eventually you'll get prepared for JEE Mains that can still fetch you a real good institute. JEE is all about concepts, if you have them sound, they'll do the rest.. And if you are done with board preparations, the best thing to go for is previous year's JEE papers.. And remember not older than 2004.. Look the questions, think and go for solution.. Don't waste much time in thinking and solving.. And for you, remember - JEE is not everything! You can still create your own destiny through hard work..

  3. Hey so I wasted my 11th and now I feel that I should take a drop. I have been studying since class 11 in fiitjee kanpur but I didnt complete the packages or revised what they taught. So is there any hope left? I dont want to fuck up my boards. That said, is there anythin I could do? Starting 12th next week.
