Preparation for JEE (Frost's style)

So here comes one of the most important posts that everyone look for.. But there's a catch - this post will be for everyone irrespective of the classes one is in.. It'll just introduce you to the tools, techniques and qualities one should possess while preparing for JEE.

Frost's style (yeah, that's me!) : Infinite type of techniques, propagandas, time tables, words of advise and what not you'll hear when it comes to the so called PREPARING FOR JEE, with a suffix that this technique won't work with all and you should devise your own and blah - blah - blah...
That's nonsense! I'm damn sure my style would definitely work with EACH AND EVERYONE irrspective of who are you. Believe me! The list contains tasks in decreasing order of difficulty.. Have a look!

#1 : (GOLDEN RULE) : IF YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE/ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING IN LIFE, START WAKING UP EARLY IN THE MORNING..

Above statement is not as simple as it looks.. Here achieve/accomplish anything, literally means ANYTHING. Whether you want to relieve a head ache or you want to become AIR-1.
Start waking up early.. and early as in 4:00 - 5:00.. whether you go to school or not.. It's not your habit? Then damn make it as soon as possible.. Sleep 6-7 hours max.. As I would say LOSE YOUR SLEEP AND YOU SHALL GAIN THE UNIMAGINABLE.
Being awake all night is bullsh*t! Some would say it is beneficial for them, then I have a good news for them. Waking up early would boost your progress 2X..

#2 : STUDY AND SHOW DEDICATION EVERYDAY AS IF TOMORROW IS YOUR JEE..

Sounds a bit filmy right? It indeed is filmy! But deep as well.. It is near impossible (possible only for AIR- 1) but since we are not that, getting more close, you'll yield more. Yeah I know 2 years is a LONG time. But trust me it isn't. It'll slip off like sand and you won't even notice.
No. of study hours- Here effectiveness matters not no. of hours. No one can study 100% effectively. It's a fact unless you are a ninjutsu master! Anyways 3.5 of your most effective hours of self study (exclude coaching, school hours) would suffice.. More is even good and try doing it in continuity

#3 : GETTING AWAY WITH THE DISTRACTIONS..

Indeed one of the toughest jobs is to get away with the distractions..  It can be anything. Mostly it comes out to be that the biggest obstacles in your preparations are:
a)  Po*n, and related habits.. (It's been found that masturbation causes lethargy, the biggest enemy to productivity.. You,ll feel sleepy every time you sit for study or try to concentrate.. So please dont do it.. You'll start forgetting things and feel demotivated)
(The only way to overcome the above point, is to keep yourself busy! Nothing else would help.)
b)  Friends/your company.. company plays a vital role.. actually a VERY vital role.. A good one may may help you retrieve your inner champ whereas a bad company will reave you all rags.. completely ruined.. So make friends who are passionate about JEE.. You'll learn a LOT from them. (trust me! I've experienced it).. Same thing applies for girlfriend/boyfriend..
c)  Smash your smartphone with a hammer and uninstall every pc game you have and throw your computer in the trash.. In terms of these gadgets and all, become total beggar.. It'll help you come out as a king after some time.. Self control and time waste are very closely related. You'll feel like doing everything while your studies but once exams are over, all that feeling is gone.. Its a trap! So don't get caught.. Spend about no time on the internet (and obviously delete your facebook account). Control yourself and learn to say no to yourself. Cut off all your connections.. ALL.. Stop attending parties, weddings, birthdays and every damn thing. Just explore yourself..

#4 :  MAKE A TIMETABLE..
I won't tell you a time table because whenever we make one, it's always awesome (yeah really!).. The only thing which matters is the guts to follow it.. (i also made more than 150 time tables). Start slow and steady. Don't give tough task to yourself in the beginning itself.. Start with a very easy one, follow it with full dedication and slowly intensify.. Remember dont even lose one day because it will eventually lead to failure.. Instead start slow but don't miss even a day!

#5 :  A HEALTHY BODY AND A HEALTHY MIND ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT..

Burning your butt for long hours alone won't help.. exercise and meditate and see the changes for yourself.. Its works like a wonder. Stay fit, eat healthy, sleep well, and meditate frequently, you'll see the magic.
Avoid unhealthy habits (I'm no doctor, its just my experience) because it'll affect your brain.. I hope you get what am I saying..

#7 :  NEVER PROCRASTINATE !!

The heading is clear enough.. The worst thing you can do to yourself is procrastinate. Yeah I know sometimes things are a bit scary and you'll feel just like running away and quitting. Well that attitude is the basic difference between a champion and a common person. Its not that toppers don't fear things, they just face it then and there, defeat their fears, and come out as champs.. So never run away from your fears, fight them! Whether it's your not favourite subject, a humongous problem, lots of study and etc etc.. NEVER RUN AWAY. FACE IT..

#6 :  FINALLY, THE EASIEST ONE - TAKE BREAKS AND SLEEP WELL..

Breaks are as important as study hours.. No breaks and all study will leave you demotivated and less concentrated.. A good practice would be 20 minute break after 2.5 hours (effective ones, remember).

So that's all you would need to keep in mind to remain in the race of being an IITan.. At the end it's your effort that'll count so make the most of your precious time.. And make the memories worth remembering after 2 years.. So good luck and I hope this helped you..
For any questions, as always you can comment or mail me..  :)
